We are supported by an enthousiastic group of volunteer leaders who give up many hours of their time week in week out, not just for weekly meetings and the associated preparation and planning, but also for camps and days out and our own leader training (which is compulsary). Child protection is our top priority and all leaders are CRB checked and first aid trained.

The group is financed in a number of ways. Weekly subscriptions (subs) are paid by each child; for admin reasons we prefer this to be paid by cheque at the beginning of each school half term.This money is primarily used to buy badges, pay the rent and provide our insurance cover

Gift Aid is a valuable source of money for the group. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound of subs you give, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue; helping your member subscriptions go further. Our Gift Aid form is within downloads.

Money for equipment is provided by our fundraising team. They organise a wide range of activities and events. We are always keen to involve new people. Please look at the fundraising page for more infomation.

We regularly apply for grants from many sources. Recent grants have financed our new mini-bus, our trailer, a projector and white screen - to name but a few.
